About Nearbench

Nearbench grew out of a simple observation: European companies wanted more engineering capacity without adding permanent headcount, but the options available to them didn't always line up with how their teams actually worked, whether that was timezone overlap, communication, or confidence in the work itself. Too often, extending a team meant taking on friction that outweighed the savings.

At the same time, Morocco has spent the last decade building exactly the kind of engineering talent that gap needed. A generation of developers came up through strong technical institutions, working the same hours as their European counterparts, fluent in French and English, and shaped by a working culture that isn't far removed from what European teams already know. The technical education holds up well against Europe's own, and the cost of working with that talent remains meaningfully more competitive.

What was missing wasn't the talent. It was a bridge that made that talent easy to find, easy to trust, and easy to bring onto a team without the usual overhead of hiring abroad.

Nearbench exists to be that bridge. We connect vetted Moroccan engineers directly with the European companies that need them, and we handle everything that normally gets in the way, from vetting and matching to contracting and ongoing support. The goal isn't to compete on price alone. It's to give European teams a partner they can trust with real work, and to give Moroccan engineers a direct path to meaningful projects with the companies building things worth building.
